The kings of Coffin Bay

Last November I had the pleasure of spending five days fishing for the massive yellowtail kingfish that spawn in the quiet shallow waters of Coffin Bay South Australia each year.  Dan Lee and I joined Dave O'Brien who had already spent the five days previous sitting out long sessions without seeing a scale.  Over the last two days of the trip our anticipation started to grow as a couple of fish were caught by other crews.  Right on cue, two hours before we needed to scamper for Port Lincoln to catch flights this beast showed up with a big crunch!  Congratulations to Dave who had invested a trip the year prior as well - a fish well earnt and to Dave's credit, released to swim again - special...
