Bali Bites - Fishing Bali Update 3

Well it is full on off season here in Bali - big swells are the norm and the water is cool.  So why a report?  Well basically a pretty exceptional fish!  Adhek took out Indonesian clients in late August and managed two GT's - quite reasonable considering the time of year.  The amazing thing is that the lucky angler who managed this beast was onto a GT for the first time ever - not bad when you consider that its dimensions of length 139 cm's and a girth of 116 cm's it puts it well over the magical 50 kilogram mark.  All anglers took turns on the rod and knocked the fish over in 15 minutes, perfect for a successful release!  The mega sized GT was taken on an Adhek Bali Peni Pen stick bait.  The very next day I was on the water with Mark Harris and whilst the top water had returned to its winter slumber, Mark managed to jig up a very respectable almacojack late in the day, saving the bacon for this trip.  Ebb Tide Adventures is off to Kuala Rompin in Malaysia next for 3 weeks of sailfish action, hopefully there will be plenty to report on and take photos's of!
